A DESIR workshop will be held at Leuven, Belgium, on May 26 - 28, 2010 to discuss possible Letters of intent (LOI’s) for experiments (around 2014) at DESIR. The Scientific Advisory Committee (SAC) of SPIRAL2 will request submission most likely for November 2010. The aim of the workshop is to gather ideas for these LOI’s and discuss them with the whole DESIR collaboration. A preliminary program to be completed with your contributions is available.
As DESIR is supported by the SPIRAL2PP program of the European Union, limited funds, in particular for students, are most likely available to partly support participants.
Dead line for submission of a contribution to the workshop is May 1, 2010. The convenors will then organise the detailed program.
The workshop will start at noon on Wednesday, May 26, 2010 and end on Friday before lunch. On Wednesday from 12:00 to 14:00, a sandwich lunch is offered to all participants who registered for this lunch. Similarly, a sandwich lunch is foreseen also on Thursday, but not on Friday.
We request that everybody attending the workshop, also those who do not submit a contribution, registers for the workshop so that the we can estimate the number of people present.
