PIPERADE (PIège de PEnning pour des ions RAdioactifs à DEsir) is an ongoing project to build a Penning trap in order to purify and accumulate large samples of exotic nuclei. PIPERADE will be installed in the DESIR hall of the SPIRAL2 facility. Such a system will be suitable for studies of nuclei produced either by SPIRAL1, SPIRAL2 or S3
